Our Mission

The new Board of Directors of the Diversity Institute of Bermuda is in the process of re-establishing DIB, setting it once again on a sound footing, but this time with modest goals.

We require a mailing address, telephone, internet access and a website. It is our hope to have an office to house our library and for meetings, should there be a need for such facilities.

Our financial accounts for the year 2005 are being maintained, and our annual statements will be prepared with professional help and presented at the Annual General Meeting in the spring of 2006. By then we anticipate re-applying to the Registry General for registered charity status.

Quite simply, we believe there is a need for a centre, a forum, where those interested in the issues of human differences can contact one another. Our objective is to list our members and supporters, especially those trained and willing to train others and to help facilitate discussion groups and events.

We will be a sound and efficient organization, but not formal or complicated. We will “keep it simple” and available for use as members and their customers may wish.

Other organizations will find us neutral and non-partisan, willing to work with them where appropriate.

As we become established we will attract a broadly based advisory committee.
